Knitting: Chunky and Cozy

After this knitting fail, I wanted to make something quick and easy. I always wanted one of these chunky cowls that look so comfortable.

I had two skeins of Loops and Thread Cozy Wool yarn in Golden Rod from Michael's. I'd actually already used one skein to make a different cowl last year, which I wasn't in love with...So I took it appart and combined both skeins to make this cowl.

I didn't use a pattern, it's just a seed stitch that I knitted in the round on size #11 needles. I can't remember how many stitches I cast on, probably around 100...
I really like the color, it adds a bit of peps to any outfit and it kind of goes with everything too.

I've been wearing it outside with my winter coat, as well as inside with sweaters and cardigans. It's already become a favorite...

I have two other knitting projects lined up: this winter hat as well as this cotton sweater for spring...

  1. I really like the blue sweater, but unfortunately the link wouldn't open. What pattern is it? Thanks.

    1. Hi Olga. The sweater pattern is from a french knitting magazine "phildar" (issue #69). I'm not sure where it can be found, I don't see it online anymore.

    2. Hi Josette, thank you for the answer! I could take a look at it on Ravelry, there are some nice designs in it. Too bad individual designs are not available for purchase!
